Thanksgiving Dinner that is. And the uninvited guest was Covid. Thankfully, we were not planning on spending Thanksgiving with a group of people. We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary by going out to dinner, something we did the year before. This year the tables were all close together again and the restaurant was full. That is probably where I picked it up. Luckily, St. Luke’s MyChart has an online urgent care feature, and I was able to communicate with someone that evening and have a prescription for Paxlovid waiting for me the following morning. So far, this seems to be working and I am hoping to be back on my feet soon. And yes, I had the most recent booster shot 2 ½ weeks prior to going out to dinner. Just read today that only 1 in 20 people have not had Covid, so that number may be going down. But Thanksgiving is for being thankful and I am thankful that I have a chance to survive Covid and enjoy my family and friends.
