It's an Omen

It is a first, there were Snow Geese on the pond, which is now 3 days later totally frozen over. I think they may have been a harbinger of the winter weather to come. We have already been cross country skiing for 5 days now on the 8” of snow we got. Just skiing in tracks with our pattern base Evos but still good fun. But back to the Snow Geese. Although we see and hear them around here often, I have never seen them land on this pond. It was snowing so hard that I thought they were Canadian Geese covered with snow. They hung around for a short time in the morning and then they were gone. Now the pond is frozen over and there will be no more waterfowl visiting until spring. We are hoping that Snow Geese in a blizzard is a sign of a nice and snowy winter full of lots of good skiing. Artworkbyllona.com
